ABC Radio National’s The Book Show comes to the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival 2025
We are absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with ABC Radio National for this year’s festival, with beloved The Book Show host, the brilliant Claire Nichols, adding an extra layer of excitement to an already stellar program.
With an extraordinary line-up of international literary stars heading to Margaret River this May — including the 2024 Booker Prize winner Samantha Harvey, beloved Irish author Marian Keyes, and Australia’s own literary luminary Charlotte Wood — 2025 is set to be one of our most remarkable festivals yet.
This year, festival audiences will have the unique opportunity to join Claire Nichols as she hosts insightful and intimate conversations with these major authors on our main stage. These sessions will later be broadcast to book lovers across the country — but you’ll get to experience them live as it all happens.
Claire herself is just as excited about making her Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival main stage debut:
“The only thing better than sitting down for a face-to-face chat with your favourite writer? Doing it on home turf!
I’m thrilled to be coming ‘down south’ for the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival for the first time on 2 – 4 May. The team has pulled together the most extraordinary collection of writers for this year’s event, and the list of people I’ll be talking to is the stuff of dreams – reigning Booker winner Samantha Harvey, Australia’s literary darling Charlotte Wood, and the queen herself, Marian Keyes.
We’ll be recording all these sessions for broadcast on The Book Show, on ABC Radio National. I can’t wait to see you there!”
We are so proud to welcome Claire and The Book Show team to Margaret River as part of this year’s festival, adding another rich ingredient to a weekend already packed with literary delights, powerful conversations, and unforgettable author encounters.
