Our Visual Art Competition and Exhibition forms an exciting part of the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival with works displayed before and throughout the event, adding a unique perspective on the festival theme for all to enjoy & contemplate.
The theme of the 2021 Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival is ‘Written Worlds’ and this year’s Visual Art Competition and Exhibition will bring this to life through ‘Visual Worlds’.
Artists are asked to respond to the festival theme with an artwork that portrays a view of the future, which can be possible, or highly imaginary, and will be displayed at the Margaret River HEART before and during the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival.
First Prize = $1000 Offered by Arts Margaret River
Second Prize = $500 With thanks to the Shire of Augusta Margaret River
Third Prize = $300 With thanks to Westpac Margaret River
People’s Choice = $100 With thanks to Margaret River Art Studio

- Entries close Friday 23rd April 2021
- Delivery of work 29th April 2021 10 am – 2 pm
