Katherine Johnson is an award-winning Tasmanian novelist and feature writer. Her most recent novel, Every Wild Soul, is the inaugural winner of The Australian Fiction Prize. Previous novels include Paris Savages, Matryoshka, The Better Son and Pescador’s Wake. Paris Savages was shortlisted in the Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIA), and was published in the UK, US and Italy. The UK edition was named The Times Historical Fiction Book of the Month. The Better Son was longlisted in the Australian Indie Book Awards and won Tasmanian Literary Awards. Katherine has degrees in science and journalism, and holds a PhD in creative writing.
