Jo Trilling
Joanna Trilling is a Perth based radio presenter and journalist, currently hosting the statewide Afternoons show on ABC Radio Perth, where her broad interests and storytelling sensibility have come to the fore. With a background in communications, Joanna began at the ABC working behind the scenes as a producer for both ABC Perth and ABC Gold Coast. She has also worked on major arts events including the Byron Bay Writers Festival and the Perth International Arts Festival. Jo is known for her curious, empathetic approach to storytelling. From breaking important stories to features including community-led art initiatives, human-interest stories, and the cultural life of Western Australia. Her own personal journey, including early motherhood and navigating unexpected life chapters, has informed her distinctive style of broadcasting: open, warm and grounded in lived experience.
