Brendan Ritchie is a novelist and academic from the south coast of WA. He is the winner of the 2022 Dorothy Hewett Award and author of novels including Carousel (2015), Beyond Carousel (2016) and Eta Draconis (2023). Brendan has a PhD in Creative Writing and works as a Lecturer at Edith Cowan University. In 2024, Brendan received a Project Grant with Regional Arts WA to support the development of a fourth novel. He lives on Whadjuk Noongar country with his wife and two young daughters.
