Edith Wright
Edith Wright is very proud of her Bardi descent. Having retired from her career in education, Edith has shifted her energy from literacy to literature. As a director on the board of Magabala Books she believes in the work they do in publishing quality books that First Nations children connect with. She has published two books, Full Circle, the story of her mother and maternal grandparents and Charlie’s Swim, a children’s book sharing the true story of her Uncle Charlie who worked inside a flying boat during WW11. She is excited by the growing number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors, illustrators and creators dedicating their talent and time to truth-telling.
