Bill Bunbury has received 5 Media Awards for his Radio productions, and in 2017 was awarded the Order of Australia. Interviewing people who’ve lived challenging lives, he feels that he hasn’t yet met a so-called ordinary person. Bill has also written 14 books, based on his Radio work, including Many Maps, awarded Best Australian Oral History book in 2021.
