Gillian O’Shaughnessy

Gillian O’Shaughnessy spent 25 years with the ABC in Western Australia as the host of the Afternoon Show on ABC Local Radio and in ABC News and Current Affairs as a senior reporter, editor, and presenter. Her long form interviews include conversations with Helen Garner, Sir Ian McKellan, Taika Waititi, Ben Okri, Anna Funder, Tim Winton, Richard Flanagan, and the late Dame Hilary Mantel, among others. In 2022 she curated Writers Weekend for Perth Festival on a theme of Wardan/Ocean. She is an award-winning author of short fiction and a submissions editor for the US literary journal, SmokeLong Quarterly.
