Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival (MRRWF) is Western Australia’s largest celebration of books and ideas — a vibrant gathering that brings together leading authors, storytellers, and thinkers for bold conversations, big ideas, and brilliant stories.

In 2026, MRRWF26 will extend its reach beyond Margaret River, offering a free livestream of selected Main Stage Festival sessions to libraries across regional Western Australia. This exciting initiative invites regional communities to share in the joy of storytelling, connect over inspiring ideas, and foster a lasting love of literature and the arts.

Livestream Screening Requirements (Libraries / Community Spaces)

  1. Display & Audio
    • Large screen, TV or projector suitable for your audience size.
    • External speakers or sound system to ensure clear audio.
    • Necessary cables and adapters (HDMI, VGA, etc.) for connecting your device to the display.
  2. Internet Connection
    • Stable and reliable connection (wired Ethernet preferred; Wi-Fi acceptable if tested).
    • Sufficient download speed, generally 5–10 Mbps for HD streaming.
  3. Device to Play the Stream
    • Laptop, desktop, smart TV, or media player compatible with the streaming platform.
    • Ensure the device is connected to the internet and the display/audio system.
