Writer Arabelle Sicardi asked, “what part of yourself did you have to destroy in order to survive in the world? But most importantly, what have you found to be unkillable?” Facilitated by 2024 Dorothy Hewett Award award-winning queer Filipino poet Kaya Ortiz (Past & Parallel Lives), this poetry workshop is a space to remember past, present and parallel selves. All are welcome to explore identity, memory and experience through poetry prompts, exercises and readings. This is poetry as a gateway of possibility and a portal to the self.
