Molly Schmidt is an author from Albany, WA. Her debut novel, Salt River Road, was the recipient of the 2022 Hungerford Award, and was shortlisted for the WA Premier’s Book Awards. After many enjoyable years as a radio producer at ABC, Molly last year returned to Curtin University to conduct a PhD project supported by the Forrest Research Foundation. This project sees Molly working with two significant Menang Noongar Elders to write their life stories – a task she considers an enormous honour.
