STORY POLES

Story Poles

Each year, the Visual Stories Art Competition and Exhibition forms an exciting part of the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival with works displayed before and throughout the event, adding a unique perspective on the festival theme for all to enjoy & contemplate.

The theme of the 2018 Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival is ‘Stories that shape us‘. Artists are asked to respond to the festival theme with a 3D artwork in the form of a “Story Pole”. These will be exhibited at the 2018 festival site in Voyager Estate Gardens.

Entrants have the chance to win a share in $1,750 worth of prizes. Winners will be officially announced at the Readers & Writers Festival launch event on 01 June and also published online.

The Visual Stories Art Competition will be judged by Sandy Tippett from Studio Bistro Gallery.
