Each year, the Visual Stories Art Competition and Exhibition forms an exciting part of the Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival with works displayed before and throughout the event, adding a unique perspective on the festival theme for all to enjoy & contemplate.
The theme of the 2017 Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival is ‘Where stories come alive‘. Artists are asked to respond to the festival theme with an artwork that shows stories coming to life, or an interpretation on where, or how, stories come alive for them.
Entrants have the chance to win a share in $2,000 worth of prizes. Winners will receive a ticket to the 2017 Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival launch event on 02 June where the winners will be announced. Winners will also be published online. All artists and community members are invited to purchase a ticket to the festival launch.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2017 Visual Stories Art Competition & Exhibition, as judged by Kay Gibson and Rachel Coad.
