Join us for the opening of the 2018 Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival. Celebrating our 10th anniversary this special event is MC’d by Dr Karl Kruzselnicki, and features a talk by special guest Geraldine Brooks, as well as the announcement of the Visual Stories Art Competition winners, followed by live music from Bambuseae Rhythm Section. Includes wine and canapes.

Kingdom of Olives and Ash is a ground-breaking collection of essays showing the human cost of fifty years of Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. Join celebrated international writers Geraldine Brooks and Assaf Gavron, together with Avner Gvaryahu, Executive Director of Israeli NGO Breaking the Silence – an organisation comprised of former Israeli soldiers who served in the occupied territories – as they provide a deeper understanding of the conflict.

Margies Poetry SLAM
