Karen Herbert
Karen spent her childhood in Geraldton in midwest Western Australia before moving to Perth. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology and has held executive roles in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. She is the author of The River Mouth (Fremantle Press, 2021) and The Castaways of Harewood Hall (Fremantle Press, 2022). In 2021 she was awarded a Fellowship at Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre for her manuscript Vertigo, to be published by Fremantle Press in 2023.
